30 Day Yoga Challenge

yoga challengeAs you might already know from reading my blog, working out is not my favorite thing. Even so, it’s important to stay moving and healthy so I’m always looking for easy ways to incorporate exercise into my routine. When my sister invited me to join her in a 30 day yoga challenge I loved the idea! You’re emailed a short 10-20 minute video each day that you can watch in the comfort of your living room. Yoga is one of my favorite ways to exercise since it’s also a great way to de-stress so I thought why not give it a try?

Today I finished day 2 and so far I’m loving it! I woke up after day 1 wondering how I could be sore after doing just 10 minutes of yoga but I was! I don’t know if this proves that it’s a good class or if I’m just extremely out of shape (I think a little of both :)) Day 2 was even more of a challenge for me. Even if you are a beginner with yoga, this is a great way to learn the poses and get some exercise without having to leave your house or use a lot of time. I suggest everyone click here and go sign up!

Finding a way to fit in exercise will probably always be a challenge for me. I’ve accepted that. But in my attempt to live the life I want (which happens to include getting exercise) I’m going to share different ways I try until hopefully I find something (anything) that sticks.

This week I set a goal to do yoga twice, in my living room to a 20 minute Youtube video [yogamazing] that I’ve been using on and off since college and actually really enjoy doing. It seemed like an easy enough goal but I succeeded in doing it only one time on Monday morning. For some reason I always seem to be motivated to do yoga at home while dog-sitting which results in what you see above. I’ll try again next week.
